Apply Online for Driving Licence Delhi at e-RTOs from 1 October

Delhi government has announced to receive driving licence application online at all RTOs which will be converted into e-RTOs . Delhi govt. will put the entire licensing process online from 1 October 2018. Currently across the country all RTOs accept applications manually despite having an online centralized software built by the Central government. This facility will run along with Doorstep Delivery Scheme. Delhi is the first state which is going to start procedure to apply online for driving licence in Delhi.

State transport minister Kailash Gahlot sadi that the government is going to declare all 13 licencing offices RTOs as e-RTos. At these RTOs the govt. will provide almost 11 transport related services which include learners’s or permanent driving licence. For the registration certificate the citizens have to apply on the website of transport department.

Now no paper and manual applications will be accepted at RTOs in Delhi and this move will curb the corruption and will stop the cash deposit. The government has taken this step after the report comes days after the transport department finds a racket where 42 driving licence were illegally issued from a RTO in a week.

In receiving manually application the submitted documents are missing from the department’s file now so the govt. has decided to receive online application for driving licence in Delhi. Along with the online application at e-RTOs you can also filled it with the help of Doorstep Delivery Scheme.

Those looking for registration related services will be allowed to do a walk-in after filling all forms online. While applicants for driving licenses will be given a choice of two-hourly slots for their biometric collection and driving tests. The status of application of driving licence can be tracked online at the same portal. two functional e-RTOs are already working on a pilot basis in  Vasant Vihar and Janakpuri.
